Bandinis
Bandinis are a combination of traditional bikini bottoms and bandeau bikini tops. Generally tube-type and strapless, bandeau tops are made of fabric and high quality spandex to hold the top in place.
Halter bikinis
Halter style beachwear use strings or straps that meet at the nape to hold the top in place. This bikini top style is called “halter” or “halter-neck.”
Monokini
First introduced by fashion designer Rudi Gernreich in 1964, monokini consists of traditional bottoms that are held in place by thin straps that are hung over the shoulders. Sometimes referred to as the topless swimsuit, it is one of the most controversial styles.
Strings
Made of a top and a bottom piece with very minimal fabric coverage, a string bikini is considered as one of the classic pieced. Its four triangles covering the two breasts, the groin, and the butt are supported and connected by thin strings serving as straps.
Tankinis
Tankinis are one of the latest additions to swimwear fashion. Combining the best features of a one-piece swimsuit and a bikini, it usually consists of a tight-fitting tank-style top and traditional bottom.
Thongs
This is composed of a traditional top and a thong, which leaves the butt completely bare while providing minimal crotch coverage. It has a thin fabric serving as strap between the two cheeks of the butt to support the crotch coverage.
